A 12-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl tragically died waiting an hour for an ambulance - with a coroner today warning "further deaths will occur" unless the emergency service improves.
Coroner David Regan warned an improvement plan provided by the Welsh Ambulance Service at the inquest did not include any "consideration of the specific shortcomings" which led to Ffion's death. The report - called a Regulation 28 report intended to help prevent future deaths - has been sent to the Welsh Ambulance Service which is required to respond.
The little girl had an elevated heart rate, fast breathing and her blood pressure was so low it could not be recorded.
Will anyone be held responsible !! Or just another heart breaking statistic ! I fear !!
