The teen's mum claims she has been told her son won't be able to attend classes until he shaves off the trim.

A teenager was sent home from school after sporting a Ronaldo-style World Cup haircut. The teen's mum, Emma Shaw, claims she has been told her son won't be able to attend any classes until he shaves off the iconic trim.

The forward won the 2002 World Cup with his nation supporting the bizarre trim and it has since gone down in history. After England won their first game of the tournament, the schoolboy asked his mother to give him the chop, reports Hull Live. She quizzed why and alleges she was told that the haircut was against Sirius West Academy's dress code. The mother asked how the haircut would affect her son's learning.

"He likes school and wanted to go as normal but he won't be allowed to go back until he's shaved it all off, which is ridiculous because it won't affect his learning one bit."
