You can save on the pennies with a few simple tricks

Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert has given a rundown of how Brits can get themselves a range of treats from some of the most popular supermarkets, fast-food restaurants and other chains. These range from apps, reward systems and even some undercover dining schemes.

Other restaurants offering some freebies are Krispy Kreme and Taco Bell. The doughnut chain is offering a free original glazed doughnut when you sign up to Krispy Kreme Rewards . You’ll also receive another little treat on your birthday. MSE recommended McDonald’s , where you can get 1,000 bonus points on your first order ; Burger King , who will award you 100 points when downloading their app and signing up to BK Rewards ; and Subway , which has previously offered free six-inch subs.
