Richard Madeley: I'm a Celebrity star taken to hospital

TV presenter Richard Madeley has been taken to hospital after falling ill on the set of the reality series I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said it was called to a "medical emergency" at the castle in Abergele, Wales, at 05:43 GMT. The Castle Kitchen Nightmares task saw him hunt for 10 hidden stars in a kitchen "full of castle critters" after a public vote. "Oh, this is really, really hard...there's just no way of sorting the wheat from the [chaff]," he said.

I hope he's ok. But I bet Arlene Phillips wishes she had thought of it first.

For God’s sake make this the last year this appalling programme is made. I have boycotted it for years due to cruelty shown to our fellow creatures and the general grossness of the whole concept.

If he has to leave the show then he shouldn't get his fee.

What is the point of this show apart from the ritual humiliation of celebrities and filling Ant and Dec's already bulging wallets?

Absolutely appalling planning which is near negligent in my view to not have a response unit of some from ON SITE, the risks speak for themselves

Will he still get paid being off set

Hope it wasn't on the NHS.Also what was he doing diving into rotten fruit?If it's spare it should be given away before it spoils

Are people this desperate they sink this low to do this. I certainly never watch it. He now has to sit in an ambulance queue to be admitted to hospital.
