When Dr Jen Gunter, a US-based gynaecologist, and her publisher, Kensington Books, sought to promote her new book on Twitter, they ran into trouble. The problem was the title: The Vagina Bible. It appeared that “vagina” was red-flagged by Twitter Ads as “inappropriate language”.

What 'collective reluctance'? Why the collective aversion to honest Anglo-Saxon and other vernacular terms by the self-styled intelligentsia?
It starts when you're little and your parents use a euphemism to refer to a part of your body. You learn that it's impolite at best to use any other word than the approved substitute.
Vagina is a beautiful word, just the same as pussy. As women we need to embrace our vagin and the power it gives us.
These days everything is framed as “repression”... the reason why this word isn’t said more often is simply because sexuality is a very private thing. Stop forcing shit feminism on women.
Just because you want to exhibit and portray your bodies intimate parts with the world does not mean every woman has to or wants to.

And if you are referring to the outer genitalia (the bits the woman in the pic is hiding) then it is a vulva. We don't call the penis the vas (or vas deferens) so why not call womens genitalia by their correct name as well
