Red wine wards off coronavirus but not beer, according to new research

People drinking more than five glasses of red a week cut risk of catching Covid. Experts believe this revelation is due to the drink's high polyphenol content. Beer and cider drinkers had near 28 per cent higher chance of contracting virus.
