The re-trial of a Salvadoran rape victim convicted of aggravated homicide after having a stillbirth has started today.
I am pro life but in the instances of rape, incest, it is not my position to judge someone who went through hell and continues to go through it, that I think is punishment enough. And as she said she would have kept the baby, if she knew she was pregnant.
She was a victim of rape. All sorts of stress must be effecting her and her actions. Just the thought of having a baby with the face of the person who raped you must be a torture in itself. 30 years is way too harsh.
