The Queen's audience room contains lots of hidden details
THE QUEEN met Boris Johnson face-to-face for her weekly audience meeting for the first time since March 2020 - but even eagle-eyed Royal fans might have missed some subtle details hidden in the room.

An 18th century painting behind the Queen and Prime Minister is also on display.The painting, dated to around circa 1750, depicts a view of the River Thames from Somerset House and was created by an Italian artist, Canaletto, during his time in London.

(Image: Getty Images)Another overlooked detail of the room are two ornate bird statues placed carefully on the mantelpiece.The pair of porcelain pheasants are valued at around £20,000 and accentuate an English glint mirror and a white marble clock between them.
