Monarch’s rare non-festive TV address delivered the clear moral leadership that many politicians have failed to provide

Now we know just how serious things are. The UK has just wheeled out its biggest gun. The Queen has only ever given an unscheduled TV address to the nation on four previous occasions, either when the nation or the royal family itself was under threat. And as sure as hell Her Majesty wasn’t about to update us on Prince Andrew handing himself over to the FBI or Harry and Meghan’s ongoing flat hunting nightmare; this could only mean the country was in a coronavirus crisis.

extraño a pocas horas de hablar de la reina por quinta vez en su reinado, internaron a Boris Johnson!, por Covid 19

It must be so difficult to be a dictator, in a palace, with servants. I'm so glad that she's showing us all how people should be.

Has her son resigned

Kind words overshadowing the fact she feels no need to share her ginormous wealth at this time of national crisis. Astonishing...

What a sorry header, 'praises the people, if not the gov...' Even as the head of said government is in medical care day ten. If honest reporting your forte, you will have balloons and crackers if Boris dies. Anything less be so dishonest.

Once again, I find myself envious of so many other world leaders compared to bungling Trump.

‘Collective resolve’ displayed by woman with a personal wealth of £320 million travelling up to Scotland to self isolate.

Boo get off

Nice speech, well-delivered.

Yes but Wish she would have made a huge donation to the NHS and opened up Buckingham palace for staff.

In the speech, the Queen graciously offered to throw open the doors of Buckingham and Windsor to house the homeless. She also pledged to donate the entirety of the privy purse to the NHS to aid in the Covid effort.

tomphillipsin Why make it an anti government headline? She’s apolitical, so of course she won’t praise or denigrate the government in a speech.

She spoke into a camera, give it a rest

For every tough time, there's a tougher leader ready to battle for the sake of the nation.

I thought she did a fantastic job, calm, compassionate and majestic. A true head of state not some grubby politician desperate to be liked.

Boris could have waited for his NHS hospital test for at least another day

Nevermore have we needed the Queens empathy Disastrous Speech, what a great opportunity to share some of her wealth with her people in a crisis; misse- no help for the NHS Doctors and Nurses dying on the front line 'We are all in this together' what a load of Bull-shit.Disgusting.
