According to a study, depression has increased five-fold; three out of four people have sleep problems and one in two have had to stop their daily activities to preserve their health

For more than 200 days, the citizens of Buenos Aires have lived in lockdown. Yet despite enduring one of the world’s longest quarantines, Argentina on Monday became just the fifth country to reach one million confirmed cases of Covid-19.

allisonpearson And yet criticise the BBC for their scaremongering. Not hypocritical in the slightest.

allisonpearson This is probably the first time in history that a government exaggerates the threat of a disease (Covid-19). It, then, takes actions that destroy the nation's economy. Moreover, these actions cause death and misery to many more of its citizens than those affected by the disease.

allisonpearson This is in Argentina haven’t we got enough problems without this kind of reporting British born people are a totally different breed than Argentinians how about finding some positive stuff and put it out there !!!!!!

Sadly true. But if we let Covid run rampant, hospitals would be full of Covid cases, other treatments worryingly neglected, people would be depressed/anxious re increasing sick and dead, and the old would be afraid to go out. Same outcome. What's the answer?

Get used to it. SARS-Cov-2 is endemic. We’ll be fortunate if this pandemic is brought under control within 5 years. Cheers Xi Jinping.

We need Nationalism now more than ever.

allisonpearson Haven’t slept a full night since March. 27 jobs relying on me but zero income. Two daughters lonely and isolated. Widowed at 24. Cancer diagnosed when youngest was 3 months (and had 6 months chemo) and brother (with 2 children) died at 43 but this is the worst year of my life.

allisonpearson Just awful. Under 15s may go out once or twice a week and only with their parents. Schools have remained shut since March!!!

allisonpearson Wish it weren’t behind a paywall looks very interesting

Have they been reading the torygraph?

This is desperate. Can’t remember you doing lots of headlines about depression and sleep deprivation before Covid? Shameful and disingenuous confirmation bias headlines just to keep the Covidiot readership happy.

I havent slept properly since March and I now know the ins and outs of all the major methods of suicide Living in an Oppressive Despotic Dictatorship with a Media pushing lies and fear 24/7 is not a good way to live

And how many are starving? FreeSchoolMeals ToryScum

How to pisss people off,man up you tossers ,life always been shit for us working classes

So when has the Torygraph been concerned about mental health when they've been supporting a govt that has slashed money to provide mental health services.

That'll be the mind bending chemicals 'they' put in the water. 😉

He wasn’t lying.

Horrific.

Covid: Policing lockdown 'challenging' because of public's 'fatigue'People must take responsibility to keep to Wales' coronavirus lockdown rules, a police chief warns. It’s not fatigue is seeing our “ leaders “ not following the rules themselves Or maybe people don't like violent thugs threatening violence if they refuse to comply with oppressive demands? You police only with consent. I don't consent to these measures neither do many others, it is not fatigue.
