It will...... Been in the game fur years

Why should they discount, like all businesses they have been unable to trade so no or little income, very sensible decision.

That’s fair enough they need to get up and running

Oh well move on...customers know best..this lockdown has shown us who did not keep up with the times! primark

Will it be pinch one get one free ? pogof

Primark can wait... the charity shops will be where the good stuff is after every one spring cleaning

Bugger

It's all cheap as chips anyway!

Isn't it all cheap tat already?

local poundshop are discounting everything at 99p ... YES!!

Can see the queues forming already!!🥴

Good luck with that seen IKEA today 😮😮

Opening just in time for their Christmas jumpers to go on sale.

So some peopme would actually like the £2 tshirt to go for £1? Wow.

Lol

Stuffs all crap anyway

To discount their cheap tack would be to give it away free of charge. There should be landfill a tax on cheap throw away clothing.

I expect you mean that they are reopening in England.......... It wouldn't take much to say so - would it?

Primark is already a discounted store, what else is news?

If they did things would be £0.00 no?

Your £3.50 leggings will not go down to £1.50 nope no way 😂😂.

Is amazon going to pay the government loads of lovely tax after making so much money of late

You can't discount sh!t.

If this crisis doesn't make people start considering 'slow fashion' alternatives, nothing will. People shop in places like Primark just for a cheap outing. Clothing has become disposable and the prices reflect that. We need to develop a different relationship with what we wear.

its all cheap shit anyways that falls apart in the washing machine

Any discount would bankrupt a Primark ....

Free dose of COVID with every pack of £1 thongs.

What is discounting when you can just pretend you care about the US and loot it?

Fine I’ll stick to online shopping, which Primark doesn’t offer.

Хм,я задумалась

Everything is on sale permanently, it’s Primark! Wonder if they’ll be able to keep the shipments flying in from the sweatshops okay.

Just imagining the queues when they do reopen without discounts let alone the mass brawls if they began by offering big savings !! Probably a health and safety decision more than anything?

Don't support sweatshop labour.

I can’t wait for the inevitable outrage against a shop selling bargain bucket clothing cheaper 🙄

Anyone expecting discounting from retail stores are insulting all staff. If you're able to, in shops, restaurants, bars etc tip & help the businesses. All of whom have taken a real sales hit during this pandemic.

I'd rather wear a potato sack than shop there.

Primark Its cheap made in overseas sweatshops stuff anyway.

& this is news?

BeckyB_ox

Primark is cheap enough, Penneys, the original Irish shop never had a sale!

From my limited experience, Primark has always been very reasonable with its prices.

If the protests in London continue there will be a lot of “5 finger discounts” trust me

I should think not. It will just encourage the idiots.

What no underwear discount from £1?!? The disappointment! 😂

There won't be anything left on the shelves anyway soon.

Isn’t Primark essentially a bargain clothes store? What a weird statement to make.

Seriously? Primark not holding a 'LOCKDOWN KNOCKDOWN' special is worthy of a BBC news page? If you're struggling for column inches you might want to think about why people on the page are willingly paying to be heard. Paying to be heard! sackCummnings

They don’t need to! They have the best prices ever!!! love primark

Kind of hard to discount when the entire business model is based on exploiting cheap Asian Labour to keep prices as low as possible.

How can you discount stock that retails at around the price of a pint

Businesses unlike Primark may use special discounts to help increase consumption and to help free up storage space as a storage crunch is beginning to occur.

Are people so entitled that they just expected discounts? 😂

I'm amazed we're not seeing price hikes across the board as retailers try to recover their losses.

Gets any cheaper a snickers will be more expensive.

The whole store is a discount.. cheap asf.

Ministers changed plans to reopen schools 41 times, says union chief'Too soon' to reopen primary schools on Monday, warns NEU They are beyond useless So what? I've worked on projects where the layout of a school has changed almost as many times. Reviewing, feedback and adapting is a good thing. 'Accused of making it up as they go along'... Pretty everyone is at the moment 😂 The govt. hasn't a clue. Schools will just have to ignore the, consult with parents and teachers and use common sense according to local circumstances. No decision will please everybody. In most cases the majority will be right but tolerance and empathy is needed as well.
