Premier League club offers stadium to NHS

Watford FC's Vicarage Road stadium is located next to the town's hospital.

Visual guide to the outbreak Mr Duxbury said:"We need to forget football right now and concentrate on doing all we can to support the NHS and, in particular, Watford General Hospital. "Our proximity as a football club next door to a hospital puts us in a great position to offer help and we're keen to do whatever we possibly can to support NHS staff and their families. "The UK government's message has been about doing 'whatever it takes'. Likewise, we'll do 'whatever it takes' here at Vicarage Road to offer our fullest support to the NHS and its people at a time when it's clearly needed most." "We also need more space so that we can stick to important guidance about social distancing for our staff induction sessions and for key meetings when we need our senior leadership teams around the table," she said. "The club's support is helping us to run our organisation safely and we are very grateful for their support at this challenging time." Share this story Read more: BBC News (UK)

Fair Play 👍 P That's lovely More fake news bbc could? Well done Watford FC and of course our NHS ... How about O2 Arena offering , for free, too? What is the point in NHS spending money to private hospitals to hire bed space? That money could be spent on PPE for the frontline heroes in this pandemic. Surely government could pass thru a law to commondeer properties?

Is that for the dead or beds night If they need it they will take it anyway, irrespective of the club's wishes. G_Sanders97 still riding the high off that liverpool win i bet, they've peaked Soccer club hopes the corpses will help the grass grow

Spurs confident Kane will be fit when Premier League resumesThe England captain has been out with a hamstring injury suffered on New Year's Day Let’s just hope he’s wearing a Spurs shirt still. He could be retired from old age by then I hope they've quarantined him. The amount he sprays when he speaks means he could take out a whole queue of pensioners waiting to buy sausages at sainsbury's.
