Can someone please remind the police that they're there to do their job, not party with the crowd? I understand the softly softly approach works better with drunk men but they have a duty to uphold the law the rest of us abide by, the Sarah Everard vigil for example.
A good mood leads to better behaviour but a bad mood can quickly lead to bad behaviour, which becomes magnified in a semi sobre crowd. Wise police.
