They had received reports of a stolen car, so used the aircraft to follow it from the air while patrols chased it by road.Using heat cameras on the helicopter the pilot was able to direct police to one suspect hiding in a park, while the others were found crouching under decking at a nearby school.
Three of the men were found with drugs on them, and another was in possession of a knife.But apparently several residents weren’t happy that the police were trying to make our streets safer – and decided to complain about the noise.Danielle Sharp posted a message in a Mossley resident’s Facebook group with thousands of members saying: ‘It’s so annoying – its woke my little one up. headtopics.com

Otherwise we’re in for a long night.’In a sassy response, Greater Manchester Police’s Tameside North and East team posted a Facebook message saying: ‘You may have noticed that our “noisy” helicopter was up over Mossley tonight after officers where involved in a pursuit with a suspected stolen vehicle.
‘Just a quick update, after the pursuit, one male was located hiding in a nearby by park. He was found in possession of drugs and a knife. Read more: Metro »
