The Met Police said there have been no further arrests and enquiries remain ongoing after schoolteacher Sabina Nessa, 28, was found dead in Cator Park, Kidbrooke, on Friday

The body of Sabina Nessa, 28, was found by a dog walker on Saturday in Cator Park, Kidbrooke, with multiple scenes continuing to be searched by investigators into the alleged murder.A spokesperson for the Met told the Mirror on Wednesday evening there have been no further arrests and enquiries remain ongoing.

A man in his 40s was initially arrested but has been released under investigation and is not believed to have been involved in the crime, reports My London.Ms Nessa, originally from Sandy, Bedfordshire, is thought to have been walking through the park to an undisclosed location when she was believed to have been attacked at around 8.30pm on Friday (September 17).

A dog walker and someone hunting for a lost gold necklace in the park are believed to have raised the alarm, the newspaper said. Neighbours of Ms Nessa’s family in Bedfordshire described how her father knocked on their doors to give them the news of his daughter’s death.

A post-mortem examination was inconclusive. Further tests on the body will now be carried out to establish the cause of death.Lisa Williams, head teacher of Rushey Green Primary School in Lewisham, where Ms Nessa worked, said: “We are devastated by Sabina’s tragic death.

“She was a brilliant teacher. She was kind, caring and absolutely dedicated to her pupils. She had so much life ahead of her and so much more to give.“As a school we are supporting each other through this very difficult time, and we will be providing specialist support to those who need it.”
