Arfon Jones said he wanted to see a trial commissioned and introduced to see if the measure could work. The authorities need to legalise it, tax it and set up centres for those whom lives have been affected negatively by drugs and alcohol...if/when that works by all means introduce into jails.

I suppose if it replaces spice, the measure could help reduce violence in prisons, as spice is a very nasty drug compared to cannabis, but caution with such a trial must be observed and strictly adhered to.
Someone who is addicted gets put in prison the withdrawals must be awful for the prisoner and everyone dealing with them.

Cannabinoids interact w/opioid receptors, and while we used to laugh as the gateway drug stuff, pot hybrids have gotten so much more potent that the idea actually has some traction
