The government is planning changes to the law aimed at bringing in longer sentences for some of England and Wales' worst criminal offenders.the measures could affect the sentencing of murderers of pre-school age children.
These could be contained in a Sentencing Bill or a statutory instrument, a form of secondary legislation which can be brought in without Parliament having to pass a new Act.But a Ministry of Justice spokesperson did say Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered an urgent review into sentencing policy last month and would bring forward proposals"shortly".Rosemary West and her husband, Fred, were arrested in 1994 accused of murdering 12 people over 20 years.

And then where judges are not taking the time to look at the case properly and siding with one side when people take cases to court only one sides isnt being heard rightfully and like is said when you take matters like this into to court the judge should take these measures.

Fair enough but I think we need to replace the judges first. Some of the sentences passed down are ridiculously lenient. We probably have enough laws to deal with most crimes just no one willing to pass them down.

I don't see how anyone can disagree with this. Murder by itself is a pretty evil crime but murder of a child is by far one of the most evil acts a human can commit. Child murderers should not be allowed back into society.
