Modern medicine has become trash. I don't bother with doctors any more as they charge me a fortune and give no real assistance. Sleep disorders, chronic pain, high blood pressure etc. If you don't fit the model then no prescription for you. Just go home and suffer.

Bad headline and intro. As explained later, it's a specific type of chronic pain, where a diagnosis of a causative condition isn't possible. All painkillers have side effects and don't help all conditions. I have arthritis but save painkillers to take edge off really bad days.

Bull. Aspirin has so many benefits even besides pain. Be careful to coat your stomach but aspirin is a natural wonder—made of bark. Beware the chemical synthetics though.

Synthetic opiates work for me. Biggest load of garbage I've ever read! I lost the most important person to chronic pain. Do not leave us to suffer. If I could (in rural Australia) get access to three specialists, massages, physio etc. for 20 bucks a month, you'd have a case.

This headline should say 'chronic primary pain' as that's what the article and quote from NICE is about. 'Chronic pain' encompasses a much wider range of conditions.

In essence, Doctors are saying to their patients, we are sorry nothing is good for you. So, just sit around in pain and suffer until we figure out something, after all we know what's best...not you.
