A Nottingham GP surgery said it is 'over capacity' and are only able to help with emergencies. The Wellspring Surgery on Livingstone Road, in St Ann's, has advised patients to seek help at their the local walk-in centre, local pharmacy or other providers as they are dealing with a 'high volume of calls'.
The Wellspring Surgery said it is facing a high volume of calls and requests from patients. A tweet on the surgery's social media page, posted shortly before 10am, reads: "Due to the high volume of calls and requests today we are over our capacity and are only able to help with emergency issues." It continued: "All patients will be supported with signposting advice, and where appropriate directions to the local walk-in centre, local pharmacy or other providers." The surgery declined to comment when approached by Nottinghamshire Live.
In a statement, the NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire said: "NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is aware that patients who are registered with the Wellspring Surgery in St Ann's may be experiencing difficulties getting in touch with the practice today.
