The River & Canal Trust is researching whether or not the otter was 'just passing through'
It was seen swimming near a pub in the Wyrley and Essington Canal by walker Sarinder Joshua Daroch, who was quick enough to take a picture. "We know we have about 10 otters with territories along our canals, and its amazing that they're now being seen in areas where they have been absent for over 60 years."Since the 1950s their numbers on Britain's rivers declined due to habitat loss, persecution and the use of pesticides
The trust should be able to tell from its recent otter survey whether there was an established otter territory there or whether the one seen near the Nickelodeon pub, Wednesfield, was "just passing through".

What a catfish...
Two questions 1 how the hell did he get a rod and line? 2 is he now boring his friends and family talking about his day fishing and the one that got away?
