Just as people look out for one another with their shopping, so too can they help each other stay sane by giving them somewhere to sit for a while

It feels like a sort of garden-based class division is developing. Indeed it feels very wrong to have those fortunate enough to have a little outdoor space snitching or attacking as selfish those less fortunate with screaming infants to contend with. The police have, in these strange times, occasionally shown the zealotry of a seventeenth-century witchfinder to naive walkers in a national park. There is a balance to be struck here, and a bit more leeway for flat dwellers without gardens.

Nope, ownership is the only way to preserve nature, without a human interest in keeping it undamaged it will be swiftly destroyed by an uncaring public It takes training to get humans to leave no trace of their passage, most people cant even manage to operate a bin in public areas

Or better. Why not demand new builds have useable minimum sized gardens. And large city developments set aside a percentage purely for public green space

Hilarious. What has happened to the Independent? It was never great but its really finding new lows these days posting this garbage

Good idea. I have scores of my mosque friends around every day to enjoy my London back garden, to pray together and share meals. It’s important to pull the community together in times such as these. X

Oh ffs. It’s not April 1st. How about just keeping the parks open and policing them properly. 🙄

Nice thought but you’re not supposed to have people round either. I have actually invited the people in the flat above to feel free to use the garden in the sunshine. Not sure my dog shares my magnanimity though.
