A spokesperson for Care UK, which runs 120 homes and has seen more than two-thirds of its staff vaccinated, said: “Everyone applying for a role which requires them to go into a home will be expected to have been vaccinated before they start work.”
This is brilliant. Although their motto should probably be 'No technology jab - no job.' And all this with 100,000 vacancies?
Good. Well done them. Doing their level best to protect staff, residents and families.

The NHS should be the same.
The idea that it should be any other way is simply ludicrous.
If the 15% is in an older age group and are accused of being a liability, they'll get the push and won't employ anyone over a certain age if the 85% are in a younger age group...Nasty business even if a jab seems a good idea for all, but it won't be for all if it is not 100%
How does it work if the vaxx is 85%. Wouldn't look good if the 15% spreads so the no jab policy will not work. Either 1.5 per ten staff in one shift or a larger care home 3 per 20. If it is not 100%, the threat is unworkable or is 85% an acceptable risk
Perfectly reasonable
In Scotland large numbers of care homes are being investigated by the Police following deaths during the last year with the possibility that managers/owners will be be prosecuted - it should therefore be no surprise that they are taking a 'belt and braces' to protecting residents
Good. It's sensible.
Not just in uk. In some places, the policy extends to other occupations
modi_rojgar_do modi_job_do Democracy & the entire system in India has crashed under this Modi government. Modi has systematically killed the Government job market in India for his party donors resulting in 45 years highest unemployment. The government veils it from entire world
What does this policy mean?
Good for you UK. Protect your people.
