Retirement age might have to rise by TWO YEARS to balance books after Covid

said that retirement ages should rise by two thirds of life expectancy gains. Means if life expectancy goes up three years, retirement age would go up by two. Think tank said government budgets will feel strain without action on retirement.

Retirement is a choice for people at any age. I know Plenty of people who don't work because the benefits are better than a job. The government can pretend to be in control.

Find out out how many live long enough to collect pensions DailyMailUK A FOI request asking those questions was ignored by DWP in 2016. Life expectancy has dropped due to Covid & though people were living longer, they’re not healthier. The well-off will still be able to retire.

If thus corrupt Government would stop giving billions to their cronies in 'contracts' & reclaim all the PPE contracts that were paid for but not delivered there would be no need to raise either taxes or pension age.

Well before we get to the retirement age issue, why not reduce the exorbitant & totally unjustified salaries of Parliamentarians,Lords, council Leaders & Councillors, Institutional bosses & all suchlike on the public payroll, down to at most £3000 gross a month, that be a start!

Boris can work until his dying day to pay for it... for rest of will have too.

Ridiculous. Old people forced to keep working And the Young people with No work!!

How to lose an 80 seat majority.

If Covid does not kill them off younger then we must raise the retirement age so that they are not a burden the state.

Retirement age in China: 60 (50 for women) But hey! .. .. We've got *democracy* - and I wouldn't swap the chance to be able to vote Boris/Keef at the next election for anything 👍

You can fuck right off I'm not working right up till I'm 70 that's not happening As long as I've 35 years national insurance paid I'll quit work and claim benefits

What’s the retirement age for transgenders and people who feel they are trapped in the wrong body. Just asking
