As someone with a real illnes i live with (type one diabetes) this is just insulting as hell. You choose to be overweight when you eat high carb diets and dont stay active - she makes that choice to not get fit every day!
I've put on 4 stone in the last 2 years from eating shit and not doing any exercise, not my fault though it's a disease that affected thousands of POW's and people in famine ridden areas of the world. Just sit back from the table a bit.
If u r unhappy with the way u look work out and exercise. Don't just complain and be lazy. U will never just wake up one day and magically be slim. U have to work hard every day just like everything else in life. No one can help u but herself here.
Nope. Sure people who r obese should not be discriminated against but u are part of a self destructive diet. U r basically an alcoholic.
Lots of people find it hard to go shopping - very tall, very short, disabled etc. At least weight is something that can be changed, albeit hard to do.
It’s also much worse for the planet for people to become overweight - the smallest people in society consume significantly fewer calories than the largest.
It's amazing how many on this thread are completely not understanding this story.
If you dig out all your old reports with films of people in 50s , 60s and 70s you will not see obese people … and the reason is because families cooked and ate proper food together . Didn’t stuff their faces with fast food every day ! Fish & chips was a treat !
The number of people with a gene or metabolic reason will be tiny compared to all the obese people we see . They can lose weight if they try . See SW or WW examples … 5/6/8/9 stone loss . Doctors don’t like telling someone they are fat , so do nothing or make excuses !
The biggest problem isn't how much people eat, its what they eat. Processed foods packed with chemicals are not healthy, even if they say they are. The more natural a food, the better. More non-processed meat and veg will help to start. These need to be made cheaper.
If obesity is from genes, why there not obese people in Sudan let’s say. I think you are obese because of your life style nothing to do with genes.
Obese people have no excuse unless of course they are obese through medical reasons. They should get out more often, eat less sugary and processed food , join a gym and work out. They are a burden on the tax payer
First impressions and all that. And if anyone thinks it will ever change they're going to be mighty disappointed.
