Plans to redevelop Nottingham Forest's City Ground have been recommended for approval by planners.was first put forward in 2019 but has been given greater urgency since the club's promotion to the Premier League.Rushcliffe Borough Council's planning committee will meet to consider the project on 28 July.
The club previously said it was important to ensure its home remained on the banks of the River Trent, rather than relocating to a newly-built stadium. Forest have played at the City Ground since 1898, but the stadium has not seen any major development for 25 years. The meeting will be livestreamed on the council's YouTube channel.
Can it be ready for the West Ham game?
A good start but we are 20 odd years behind the rest. If we maintain our Prem position, 45-50k would be the norm. We are behind in every aspect. Go to Spurs and that’s the level. Million light years behind unfortunately
What a short sighted project this will be. Clough stand is 40 years old & not fit for purpose, seats too cramped, toilets archaic & refreshment with horrendous quality and queues. 45 000 should be the minimum capacity not only for home games but any future world/eurocompetitions
Sort some proper parking facilities.
Who's paying for it? Council Tax payers again?
If forest get relegated next season they’ll be building a stadium to have 15,000 empty seats 🤷♀️
