The week ahead is set to start off dry with bright spells but turn cloudier and rainier towards the weekend.
The cooler weather is set to remain, with the unseasonably warm 20°C temperatures recorded recently having given way to more usually weather for the time of year. However a few isolated showers may appear around the coasts. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
The following week perhaps turning a little less unsettled, with the driest weather in the northeast and wettest conditions in the southwest, but rain and strong winds perhaps spreading to affect much of the UK at times. Temperatures will stay around average and probably oscillating between milder and colder spells throughout the forecast period.
