There's no doubt in Paddy McNair's mind that Northern Ireland owe themselves and the fans a performance after a largely disappointing Euro 2024 campaign. There has not been much for the Green and White Army to cheer with only three points picked up against basement boys San Marino, who visit Windsor Park tomorrow. With Slovenia to come as well next Tuesday McNair wants to make home advantage count and send the fans home happy. He said: "Definitely.
"I think as long as we keep trying to do the right things it will change. Everything's better when you're winning games. Confidence through the whole group would be a bit higher if we won three or four on the bounce but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. "The lads here play very competitively every week and you go through it. Winning games and losing games is part of football.
"I think the aim is: two home games, six points. We just have to get back to winning games, obviously San Marino on Saturday, that's a game we expect to win."
