NICOLA STURGEON risks infuriating millions of Scots as her independence plan will see them giving up free prescriptions and several other benefits, an economist has told Express.co.uk.

Prof Jaworski argued Scots do not fully realise that they will have to go through painful economic reforms that could see them losing many benefits, including free prescriptions."But there is a problem with that., we would need to go through a very harsh transformation of the public sector. The Professor noted:"So if we have a referendum, Scottish people might vote for going out."Then, it would be too late.

It's all on you sturgeon!

Gosh what nonsense the Mail and express write. Is there any actual fact in what you ever report

What did she expect?

She’s not too bright, is she? Ok, my opinion...

FrankBullitt39 That's not going to please Rab C Nesbit

If Scotland becomes independent, then it will have to create its own health service, social security/welfare,etc, but that’s the price of independence, either you want it or you don’t and there’s no point the government in Westminster goading them as they did with EU membership

Scotland want their independence but how about the other 3 nations get to vote too on whether we want them with Sturgeon in charge🤔 When do the English get a devolved parliament, someone to stick up for us & give back some our taxes instead of us getting the least per head☹️

What a load of tosh you do tweet 🤣🤣

The daily depress makes up more nonsense. Keep up the good work... you’re helping to create more Indy yes voters👍👍😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Roll on independence for England..

And rightly so

Keep the anti Scot rhetoric up. It will just hasten the day of independence

Yet another none issue that the Daily Express attempts to whip up anger over. For instance no one under 16 or over 60 pays for prescriptions in England. That is 90% of those that are dispensed! Six out of ten are for those over the age of 60.

Some tax money does flow North to subsidize the health service.

You can’t have it both ways.

About time she had some honesty about the cost of their push for independence Without the financial help and support of the wider UK the Scott’s economics do not add up, higher taxes and many moving to rest of UK is a reality that needs to be understood

Let them go. They are no longer worth caring for.

Well except that never happened, just totally made up nonsense, you're not just lying anymore but fabricating and making up your own lies, it's funny lol

They don't want independence, SHE is still on her own personal obsession with independence.

Lies lies lies

BorisJohnson Why are we still funding Scotland more per head than England?

And that's the MINIMUM they will have to give up if they want to get their £14.5m deficit down to a level where they think the EU will accept them. Do the EU actually want another Greece in the making?

They should pay like us it's all UK taxes why are they different no wonder they keep asking for more money

Will be disaster after disaster with her in charge. Crack on with it.

Hmm Scotland - free education, free prescriptions. England- contracts awarded to companies profiting from child hunger. I know where I’d rather live!!

There will be a lot more things the Scots have to give up

It’s about time the English stopped funding Scottish benefits

When the Scottish actually see the harsh realities of independence, huge cuts to public services to stop the country being bankrupt, rejoining the EU in maybe 10 years time even harsher financial impact, the Scottish Nationalist Party a disaster MailOnline BorisJohnson TheSun

This krankie is worse than Hitler

Nicola Sturgeon 'keeping Scots in dark' over lockdown exit after only unveiling plan until AprilSturgeon argued providing a longer term blueprint would be 'like putting your finger in the wind and coming up with a date that's not firmly based in the evidence' Does she know something that we don’t, is she about to resign over the alleged claims that she lied to the Scottish Parliament. The real reason is she wants to maximise her opportunities to compare favourably with Boris. Pathetic one track politician who by the way (allegedly) lied to parliament and bullied civil servants to favour her and her party.
