I think that restrictions that are made with the welfare of the child in mind are made with love and do no harm.
Seems fair enough to me. There are too many kids growing up without responsibilities and discipline. Some parents just let their kids do whatever they want and then resort to the 'they're just kids' excuse when they inevitably get in trouble.
Train up a child the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
