A shocked mum gave birth on the backseat of an Uber on a dual carriageway, minutes from a hospital.
Baby Rowan arrived bang on his due date – but not quite in the location his parents Dan, 31, and Ella, 32, imagined. The dramatic incident started when the couple phoned University Hospital Coventry to say Ella could be in labour around 1am on January 8.what was happening,’ university lecturer Dan said.
Ella was told to have a bath and drink some water but Dan rang back an hour later when things ‘seemed to be getting heavier’. He said: ‘They said come in and we will have a look but we may have to send you away. It didn’t feel like we were in that much of a rush so we called an Uber.’Dan was on the phone to West Midlands Ambulance Service when Ella caught the newborn in her hands.‘It was about one minute before we got to the hospital when he was‘I remember feeling his head and thinking something is wrong, we are‘But there was not really time to panic, it was all so quick.
That uber driver had a great show...might want to check to see if he had cams in the car......
