A heartbroken mum has demanded answers over who ransacked her daughter’s home and took cash from her bank account before she was found dead. The body of 22-year-old Tianna Charite was found by big brother Brandan after he went to her flat in Cupar, Fife, as the family had been unable to contact her for days.
Wooden boards on her bed and sofa had been ripped off, indicating someone had been trying to find something in the house. “The door handle was damaged after the flat was locked up, so we know another attempt was made to get in, but why? You also have the bank account activity, which no one can explain to me.
“But at the end of the day, they locked the door and never went back. The scene wasn’t sealed for detailed forensic work and we know none was carried out. It just seemed to be done and dusted in a few hours. I think they had dismissed my daughter as a likely addict, but if they’d looked around properly they would have found evidence she was trying to lead a healthy lifestyle.
On the day police have told Ashley they believe Tianna died, May 5, there were four unexplained transactions in her bank account. One woman paid £20 into her account, and £20 was withdrawn from a cash point soon after.
