A Montana backcountry guide has died after he was mauled by a large grizzly bear that was probably defending a nearby moose carcass just outsideCharles “Carl” Mock, 40, who lived in the park gateway community of West Yellowstone, died Saturday, two days after he was attacked while fishing alone in a forested area along the Madison River several miles north of West Yellowstone, said a Gallatin county sheriff’s office spokesperson, Christine Koosman.
Being near bears is part of the allure, and the risk. I’m not a snowmobile person. Think real men hike. Hemingway style.
Oh, and 'wildlife workers' who unjustly killed this beautiful bear, only did so after the bear charged them? Oh sure, where have we heard this before? We need to demand body cams on wildlife cops/workers. Way too many trigger-happy sociopaths weasle their way into such careers.
So it strikes me as rather absurd when some humans get all indignant, like how 'dare' a wild animal attack a human being! We simlly MUST punish that wild animal - we must kill it, right now!! But it's perfectly fine to slaughter them for any 'reason' at all. Insane.
The bear was in his/her home, protecting their fresh food supply. Therefore, it was simply doing what comes natural. On the other hand, we have countless humans invading their space, slaughtering them bec they want a damn bear rug, a trophy. Perfectly fine to slaughter them, rt.?

2 many humans get irate, vengeful when a wild animal 'dares' 2 attack a 'precious' human being. They set out for revenge, sometimes slaughtering the 'guilty' wild animal, other times killing any of them, guilty or not. How many bears have been slaughtered 4 humans' selfish wants?

It is VERY sad this man suffered a horrifying attack, then succombed to his injuries. At the same time, I do NOT agree w/the subsequent killing of the bear. Humans go into the BEARS' homes, then kill the bears for being bears ffs. It's always vengeance killing of the wildlife. 😔
