I’m just trying to make sense of everything and understand what happened. "He had typical life challenges that people have with finances, but he wanted a family. He was looking towards his future, so it’s mind-blowing. I just can’t grasp what happened." Following news of Hudson's sudden death, the family released a statement earlier this week, which read: "We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson. "His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time. Thank you." According to IMDB, Hudson was also the godson of iconic film director Quentin Tarantino. His father Michael and Quentin, 58, are longtime friends and have collaborated on legendary films such as Kill Bill Vol.1, Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Reservoir Dogs. Hudson lived in Hawaii with his wife Carlie, according to Facebook. They had been living together in Hawaii since August 2019 after serving in the US Army and reportedly also spending time in Afghanistan. Husdon was based at the Schofield Barracks in Oahu, home to the 25th Infantry Division. He was promoted in March last year. Just last week, Carlie thanked her husband Hudson for his support after she underwent surgery. She wrote on Instagram: "I just want to give a shout-out to my amazing husband! "Yesterday I had surgery to remove a tumor from one of my breasts and he was and has been so patient throughout this whole process! "We were at the hospital for about 7 hours yesterday and while I was in surgery he went to target and got me flowers, comfy pajamas, my favorite candy and a card! He's also been amazing in helping with my recovery and I'm just so thankful!" As well as his wife Carlie, Hudson is survived by his brother Calvin, 25, and Luke, 16, and step-brothers Christian, 31, and Max, 27.
