Oaxaca brings in measures after obesity crisis is highlighted by high death toll during coronavirus pandemic

The southern Mexican state of Oaxaca has banned the sale of sugary drinks and high-calorie snack foods to children – a measure aimed at curbing obesity.

About time

Another reason for illegal immigration. realDonaldTrump please finish the wall!

May protect children from the virus in fifty years time but would have had little effect on the present situation.

So kids cannot buy candy? Sounds fascist.

We need to wake up in the UK. Ban processed food full of sugar, salt and unhealthy fats, stop our high sugar consumption, which includes refined carbohydrates. Make compulsory in our schools, whole food cookery lessons. Give people decent wages to afford healthy food.

They have BIG America next door to know they need drastic measures not to end up like it.

And in the UK the Govt offer £10 discount for eating in MacDonalds to people unable to afford it and £10 off to MP's to eat out whilst taking photos of the bill to push under the noses of people visiting food banks.

Can’t try that in America or the right will crucify you. Michelle Obama has some experience with that in the context of schools.

That’s half the reason a kid gets up in the morning - GONE!
