The Victorian premier, Daniel Andrews, has declared “now is the time to open up” as Melbourne’s extended lockdown ends, and the state plans to reopen retail, pubs, restaurants and other businesses.
My congratulations to Dan Andrews on his steadfast handling of the dire situation in Victoria . He has overseen a masterclass in the approach to the problem and ignored the media and political criticism he received. Well done mate!
