McMenamin eyeing up Euro 2028 'dream' after home bid confirmation

Conor McMenamin admits it would be a "dream" for any Northern Ireland player to feature at a home Euros.

"We have players in the squad who played at the 2016 Euros and they say it is the best experience they have had in their careers. And these are players who have won major club honours."It is a massive incentive, and there is a huge carrot dangling in front of our faces. Hopefully we can qualify."O'Neill's squad are already out of the running following a poor campaign to date, but their mood was lifted with Saturday's 3-0 win over San Marino.

"I feel really comfortable in that environment, and it seems to bring the best out of me. Unfortunately we haven't got the results everyone wants, but we just have to stick together and hopefully things will turn very soon. "We have lost narrowly in most of the games so we aren't that far away. Things can change in one result, and then we can kick on.McMenamin has impressed since making his Northern Ireland debut against Cyprus last year.
