It led to the break breakdown of his relationship and his now ex-partner moving away, the court heard."It felt like my life was in danger and all I thought about was my child.Iwona Zofia Boesche, mitigating, said: "All this has impacted negatively on most imbalance health but he felt too embarrassed to seek help.He did seek solace in the bottom of the bottle."Nothing positive can be found in alcohol."In public, I feel unsafe as if someone is walking behind me.He had been drinking heavily for about three to four months before he was stopped in 2020.

Rock bottom was his lie to the police and the courts."Once he came to his senses and realised that his brother actually could be involved in the criminal justice system, he admitted the offence fully." Murray was told to put the knife down by security, which he did, before Northamptonshire Police were called to the scene. He's been apologetic and remorseful all the way through. He has picked himself up and already taken steps to rehabilitation." Judge Geoffrey Kelly jailed Mbala for four months and he will serve half of that sentence before being released on license."The probation service recognises there is work that can be done with him and because he has established a good close relationship with his son who lives some distance away and works full time, he is able to continue being a useful member of society so long as he doesn't binge drink.

Sentencing, he said: "You went into the lengths of intercepting the postal requisition that was sent to your brother. This is really quite a serious offence and the only reason that it's come to light was that the police investigated it and contacted your brother."You only admitted it when confronted with that evidence. These current offences all occurred when you were drunk. It's not as if you reflected on what you've done and changed your mind within days of the arrest."You're obviously a very intelligent man who has a lot to offer an employer and your former partner and your child.

I hope that when you come out to prison, you never find yourself in front of these courts again. This is a real opportunity to address what is a core problem for you."
