Young people in Preston are being urged"Don't kill Granny" as new lockdown measures come into force.Adrian Phillips, chief executive of Preston City Council, said it was"alarming to see that the under-30s are contracting it at a significant rate".
They can meet in groups of up to six - or more than six if they are from two households - in outdoor areas such as parks and beer gardens. The restrictions will be reviewed next week, with any changes due to be announced by Friday.in Greater Manchester, East Lancashire and parts of West Yorkshire came into force on 31 July.
Local officials said the spike was particularly among those living in poor socio-economic conditions, including inner city and rural areas.
I'm old enough to remember when grannies in Preston voted to take away my rights and those of their grandchildren.
‘Don’t kill Granny’ I don’t think its young people you need to worry about
Its not a lockdown. Its only 1 restriction change. Simple as. That is not a lockdown!
Just getting ridiculous now.
About bloody time.
getting stuck into the younger generations now. What phase of Project Fear are governments and media at now? Given hospitalisations and deaths are both on the downward and have been for months?
Let's blame all young people for the Government's shameful hype of this virus, shall we? A nursery has been found to have 16 children with Covid. Those kids should be ashamed of themselves for not social distancing by wanting to closely play with one another. We need to ban play.
It has been farcical to hear politicians on all fronts, congratulating the great British public, who overwhelmingly followed the guidelines! 50% did, the other 50% stuck two fingers up and helped kill 45 thousand people! Great British public my arse! Shower of 💩! Sir Percy
We never should have left lockdown to begin with!
In other words, the definition of 'love' is 'always free'. To make this clear to you, the economic system is nothing but a 'compensation' in return for a reward. I will not mention it further.
This corona turmoil is merely a 'leverage' in every economic sector. As I said to you, when love sees things and events of the world in the first sense, it does not exist after the second sense.
'Granny stay indoors'.
Blame shifting again!
Its not JUST the young but they are a factor near me. 13-20 somethings are NOT socially distancing, never have been. Friends son been to 3 x 18th Parties in last 3 mnths & has another 2 in August all with no safety measures, inevitable it will spread there.
Oh groups of 6 only .unless it's to do with BLM .then thousands are allowed
The older generation couldn’t give a toss about lockdown as well, why is it always the younger generation that gets blamed when the old people are just as much at fault
Good stop them
If people follow the rules ,just might be ok .
So how many covid deaths recently in Preston then to cause a lockdown and how many in hospital ?
In my local last night it was like gay night. All these lads under 25-ish hugging each other 🙄
..do they have 'Grannies' in Preston....? Surely they are 'arh Nan'...?
HERD IMMUNITY Go young people!
Again government at fault saying that kids are not at risk. More confusing messeges. No good blaming kids. Remember how we all knew it all when we were young . It was easy for us we didn't have to grow up in a world like this. We should talk to the kids. Give them more credit 🙏
Send in the army
People understand the rules, they just don’t want to follow them. When the pubs and non-essential shops are closed and only the supermarkets are open, they will have themselves to blame. Of course they’ll try to lay the blame elsewhere, no doubt supported by MSM
British government account
Super Young People in Preston 💕😘❤️👍🇬🇧
Cops are allergic to beaches. It maybe the covid effect.
But they're allowed to go and spend in pubs, bars, restaurants etc., and leave to go on holiday in areas sans lockdown?!? 😂
Download the Apps kids Get tracked and traced to eat out This is where it leads
Why should young people forfeit their lives to give granny an extra 6 months of life ?
Oh if only they were members of BLM then they would b allowed to do whatever they wanted and the police would prostrate themselves and we would all live happily together.
Yeah let's guilt trip people again since too many are waking up to this bullshit.
When those who are most vulnerable like those in care homes and dependent on community care with underlying heath conditions should be. Can the government really be this stupid?
ian_ackley
Maybe if the media and government hadn't been peddling the whole 'kids can't catch the virus' message then we wouldn't be in this situation
It a bid hard on grandfathers!
Wish you luck on that one! They seem to be very ignorant up there! 30 youths outside train station spitting everywhere! Guess you can’t educate the uneducationable! 😱😩
Oh, it's those teenagers who think they already know it all and ignore those that have experience..... well, this is really going to work when they return to school next month. Third spike anyone?
Meanwhile...in Bournemouth....
So if it’s youngsters spreading it how’s that going to work with Schools , Uni & Colleges
Don't kill granny ? Give me a fucking break 😒
Yeah, Youngsters who dont listen to advice..
Always blaming someone for the mess we are in!
Some joke
