Sir Ed, who served as secretary of state for energy and climate change in the coalition government, is expected to say that"across a five-year Parliament, Liberal Democrats would spend and invest an extra £100bn of public finance on climate action and environmental preservation".
"And we will invest £15bn more to make every building in the country greener, with an emergency ten-year programme to save energy, end fuel poverty and cut heating bills." He will say that, so far, spending plans unveiled by the Conservatives and Labour represent a"debate between fantasies".
And after all this money has been spent a lot Of people will be very rich and the climate temp will have reduced by the grand total of fuck all Or 0.000000000001% Good job 👏👏👏
What a load of tosh. Where on earth are that many money trees growing.🙈
Money trees sprouting up everywhere
BBCPolitics
Where is this magic money tree🤔🤔🤔
BBCPolitics Presume they will borrow it from the GREEN PARTY who made a similar pledge/promise !! These people are lunatics who need medication check ups 💊💊😂 again why is air time given to such nonsense ? Let afneil loose on these pork piers
BBCPolitics Oh good, waste more money
BBCPolitics Why waste money? Just ban meat maybe? use some of that 100 billion to help those dependant on meat industry move to alternatives. Great policy.....oh but it wont win votes.....forget it.
Awkward question time: 🤔Would delegates who get to attend lavish conferences (at best hotels) about all matters of a 'climate' nature be as keen to get on the band-wagons if they had to pay all incurred expenses from their own pockets? Er! Um! Don't all rush to answer! 🙄
Tackling the climate emergency is so much more important than Free Broadband.
BBCPolitics It's easy to pledge things when you've no chance of forming a government. Oh right they could prop up the Tories. How'd that go last time?
BBCPolitics Just make it 2 billion no wait let’s make it 10 billion stop the shite sales pitch. All we want first is the withdrawal agreement done. Then we can talk about the other bull shit
Oh go away
No free broadband ?
Oh another magic money tree. Pleased he's not responsible for my household Bill's.
Swinson is never going to be the PM....so they can pledge what they like. May as well pledge to put a Brit on Mars.....it's never gonna happen.
Libs for a reason !
The guy in the glasses is a nonce
If and only if lies and empty promises has Tax I bet we would hear less and less lies and empty promises from bunch of losers politicians
Good call, but do you think that’s where the majority think the focus should be?
Cookoo
How come Scottish politicians are so crap at maths ? SNP too have trouble getting figures correct
More free money
No chance of government, you won't get your hands on my money mate.
Good heavens where are they getting that amount of money from? Students?
Climate Change is such a complex issue that a £100bn fund is in reality a futile amount. I suspect the climate is going to seriously impact the way humans live across the planet at some point. And there is little that can be dont to stop it because what's required is extreme.
The amount of gas coming out of Lib Dem’s along with the BS manure means they are going to need a LOT more than that.
Lying fools the lot of them
Whatever they say is totally meaningless because they have ALL proved to be pathological liars. None of the mainstream Parties have honoured their manifestos and have broken every pledge they have made to us!!
Come on the lipdems will say anything for a bit of power. Remember the last time all the promises then jumped into bed with the conservatives.
Makes sense all this extinction rebellion Paid for by who Few renewable energy players by any chance
VOTE FOR Labour or Lib Dems for a Communist or Fascist government OR the Brexit Party or Conservative to retain our Democratic Freedom. Maybe we should ask the young people of Hong Kong how removing a countries Democracy PANS OUT?
I agree Lib Dems pledging for the climate is quite funny but we've got plenty of climate change deniers right in the comments. Scary stuff.
Fake fund for a Fake crisis, probable to be feed into the hands of NONE GMO's there on the boards of...? STARTING to see it YET ! FakeNews WeThePeople WeDoNotConsent
I’d rather have that pledge to the NHS.. 😭
Coughs *16% in the polls*
so are they going to ban bone fire night ?
All sounds good but where from? Do you remember 2010 broke Britain
Hahahahahaha Liberal Democrats pledging to fight climate change. Oh boy that's a good one.
What ever !
Paid for by stopping MPs expenses.
And another unicorn to go with the one John McDonnell is offering. 😂
Awww
Everyone's promising billions upon billions for this that & the other + that Greta climate scam🙄 -I can see the working man is going to be hit bigtime in the pocket -it's gotta come from somewhere & I'm sure the rich wont be too keen to hand much over they'll scarper sharpish😏
What a waste of money that would be. Never gonna happen though.
Oh bloody hell. Labour with free broadband and now this. Holy meatballs!
I was hoping for free broadband and calls
Climate change will be a long forgotten issue after they cancel Brexit, the Country will in all probability become ungovernable- they have been warned !!
Every Party is lying & useless apart from The Brexit Party!
NEW: Boldest bribe yet. Labour to promise free supermarket sweep weekly trolly dash after nationalising ASDA. GE2019
Is there really a ClimateCrisis? Britain had floods similar to these 50 years or so ago. We coped with swelling rivers back then because we had flood plains to drain the water. Now, we have too many housing estates preventing that water drainage - built on the flood plains!
Get rid of clouds and you get rid of rain.
Can we have free broadband as a cherry on top?
