SIR – There are understandable calls for the Prime Minister to resign following revelations about activity in Downing Street during national Covid lockdowns.

He should resign because he can't do the job!

Yes he should. Because of parties as well as many other things. Unfortunately all Tories are complicit in the other things, so none of them are fit to lead this country.

Replaced by who? There are no stand-out successors so why not simply move on, back Boris and get on with the day job? What's happening to the which used to be a true Conservative publication?

Whilst many may agree with the sentiments given, the waste was NOT down to Boris, but the Civil Service. If Boris had not helped, either during the pandemic or now, the media or the same people would have been the first in the queue complaining. These people always complain.

Absolutely right. The red wall didn’t want socialism. Boris and Rishi have set us on a path of socialist oblivion.

Expected something before, now it's a complete mess. The readers were right!
