The border between Ireland and Northern Ireland continues to be a difficult part of any Brexit negotiations.

One of the largest cross-border businesses on the island of Ireland has called for"common sense to prevail" in last-ditch efforts to reach a Brexit deal.

The yarn arrives in Dublin Port, crosses the border for weaving and repeatedly for dyeing, for cutting, for stitching, for packaging and for distribution. The managing director says politicians need to explain to his staff why the company is preparing to relocate its Northern Ireland factory if there's a no-deal Brexit.

Victor Chestnutt, deputy president of the Ulster Farmers' Union, said:"If food flows into the UK tariff-free and we face a tariff going out, we are on a hiding to nothing. Our farmers will disappear." "We put forward actual solutions... the enhanced economic zone, where trade can flow through Northern Ireland into GB from Europe and from GB into Europe via Northern Ireland."

Remainiacs are desperate to overturn democracy. People are wising up to the dirty progressives and their agenda.

Who is gonna build this 'hard border' then as the UK won't, the EU won't and hell would freeze over before the Irish build it?

I agree No hard border The U.K. will leave the EU Perfect

Irish business should be calling for Varadkar to go then. He's lead them to near oblivion.

But we will need one ! Why ? Because Leo and the Eu are planning to flood Ireland with illegals from Libya and we don’t want them just walking into NI

Irish businesses should campaign for a different Taoiseach. The present one has the interests of others, elsewhere, at heart - not theirs.

Common sense is not common

What do the Irish know of common sense?

After claiming they would 'do anything to stop No Deal', Labour are going to reject the one thing that would: Boris' deal. They've already rejected a Deal three times, a People's Vote because they 'wanted an election', and then an election! For the many? Wake up. marr ridge

Landlords urged to sell buy-to-let properties now before tax bills soar in AprilTax advisers have warned landlords to consider selling their buy-to-let properties now before a slew of new rules coming in April take a bigger bite out of their already squeezed incomes. ...hah!...tax?...what is that?... If they do sell then they will be subject to Captial gains tax. So it depends whether the extra income taxes are higher into the future than the capital gains tax. Also, you need to have a viable investment alternative. If you own more than one property, using the word “squeezed” as to how hard it is financially isn’t going to touch the heartstrings of many.
