After reading it multiple times, I still can’t tell what point Lana Del Rey was trying to make by invoking her peers to kick off a freshly Instagrammed screed about how she feels villainised as an anti-feminist pariah. Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Kehlani, Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé – almost all women of colour – “have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, fucking, cheating etc”, Del Rey wrote.
Some people just overthink everything. Is it the job of a journalist to overthink everything? I guess that's what sells. We're constantly trying to dig deeper into things and don't see them for what they actually are. It's just an opinion and yours isn't any more valid than mine
hey im interested in eure meinungen FabsNavarro und mauszfabrick

Laura Snapes is a great example of someone who virtue signals and calls out everyone else's wrongs, while the harsh reality is that she reviews shitty music and tweets for a living. Nothing she ever does/ did/ will do will ever impact anyone's life in any way, shape, or form.
Always surprised how people manage to drag race into something.
Didn’t read the whole article. Got as far as “paragraphs of bile” and stopped. Wonderfully unbiased reporting.
Guardian journos and their virtue-signaling agendas (troubled childhood?). I am not a fan of LDR but she was pretty soft on what could be said here.
Can we take this opportunity to criticise her plastic surgeon or would it be out of place?
It was so much easier when we put records on and just listened to the music.
Why are some people so obsessed with skin colour in the name of tolerance? 🤨
Not this again. She never brough race into it at all. She was pointing out blatant hypocrisy. You do know she donating book proceeds to Native American foundations? She is way more feminist then those fakes she mentioned which was just all to emphasise her point anyway.
Laura's racism undermines her criticism of Lara
Laura, are you the Laura Snapes who grew up on the Clapton Park Estate, E5, and melded what you saw and experienced there into the incisive worldview we see here? Or are you another, different Laura Snapes who wrote splendid essays in the library overlooking the lacrosse field?
Why does she bring up 'peers of colour'?
She is an idiot, always has been, always will be. Her statement that being a feminist or being a strong woman is somehow in opposition to being delicate?!? Shows how much she doesn’t understand about being a feminist or a strong woman.
Wtf is this drivel
I love drama ❤️
Dear white writer. Perhaps you refrain from presuming to speak for, and thus marginalising the voices of, women of colour (and Ariana Grande) on a topic you have no personal experience of.
I think it could be you racializing things by pointing out the color of the people she mentioned.
She never brought up race. The author’s reading of Lana’s statements reveals more about her than the artist she’s criticizing.
If anyone actually read the thing, they’d realise she was saying feminism takes on many forms. She didn’t drag anyone other than the critics in that post. Stop being so eager to attack someone and find faults where they don’t exist
You targeting her undermines the feminist cause too hun
Lana is only allowed to criticize whitey?
so dissapointing when her music is so great. Why undermine your talent like this in public?
🤦♂️
no one cares
