The leader came under fire from those on the left of the party who accused him of abandoning popular policies

During a speech in Liverpool on economic policy, Sir Keir was asked directly about plans to nationalise rail, energy and water companies. He told reporters: “I take a pragmatic approach rather than an ideological one, I agree with what Rachel Reeves said this morning.”
