Camilla is the King’s 'companion, friend and lover - he needs her more than she needs him', says Jennie Bond

Yesterday saw King Charles III and the Queen Consort leave London to return to their respective homes following days of public events paying tribute to The Queen - with Charles having been granted 24 hours to rest ahead of his mother's funeral on Monday.

"She’s a couple years older, she's getting older, and I think this must be very physically taxing for her. But I think he depends on her absolutely for support. This marks first time they have separated since travelling to Aberdeenshire's Balmoral Castle to see the Queen last Thursday before she passed away.

"Camilla, as the Duke of Edinburgh was to the Queen, is Charles’ stalwart companion, friend and lover," Jennie Bond exclusively tells OK!, speaking of their close relationship. "I think he needs her support.
