The critics are in two minds about the latest series of Killing Eve ahead of its return this weekend. For every review calling it"heart-stoppingly brilliant", there is another dismissing it as"tired to the point of lifelessness"."the novelty has worn off" and that it is"no longer TV's must-watch".The first episode will be made available on BBC iPlayer on Monday morning ahead of a BBC One airing on 19 April.Instead, episodes will be released each Monday on a week-by-week basis.
Based on Luke Jennings' Codename Villanelle novellas, Killing Eve tells of a sultry professional assassin and a dogged MI6 operative on her trail.
Even a mediocre killing eve episode is better than most dramas out there

The number of people saying ‘season’ on here makes me sick. If you don’t use a sidewalk or drink from a faucet then it’s a series.

The writer shouldn't have let the BBC anywhere near it..I would have took the idea to Netflix...
I thought it was excellent right up until the last 10 minutes of the final ep of season 1. Why it turned into a lesbian thing I don’t know know.

Sadly by the second season and the terminator esque nature of the assassin it started to wear thin. Even the little asides of mundanity for humour were forced and too often. End on a high note.

Stopped watching at end of first series. Decided it had descended in to fantasy nonsense!
First season was superb. They should have left it at that.

The second series was a huge disappointment, I so hoped the third would recapture the magic
I genuinly never even gave season 2 ago as the ending to the first season was so bad. Season one was great, until the last 10 minutes, then we were like 'what an utterly shite ending, never again.
