Jesy Nelson in tears as she shares why she wanted to quit music

Jesy Nelson was seen getting emotional on a recent livestream following the launch of her latest single, where she opened up to fans about experiencing "a really dark stage" in her life.

She addressed the controversy at the time, saying: "My intention was never, ever to offend people of colour with this video and my song because growing up as a young girl, this is the music that I listened to." Jesy got real with her fans during an emotional chat with her beau Zion, expressing her gratitude: "I feel like I'm getting emotional. You will never understand like how much your support means to me. Because I know that it's been like what, I don't even know. Obviously I know I put Bad Thing out but yous have waited so long for music."

"Honestly like it's you guys make me like wanna do this. If I didn't have you guys, I wouldn't be doing music and I just can't thank you enough for like, genuinely, believing in me and making me believe in myself because I wouldn't if it wasn't for you guys. I think it's really rare to find a fanbase, family, like you guys."
