I think this is good but I doubt double barrelled names will catch on since each generation will just have to keep adding names so people will just stay with one name.

Just to be precise, being an Italian I can confirm that the Italian Constitutional Court has decided that a child can bear either the father or/and the mother’s surname. But it’s clear that first parliament has to implement it and even then people are still free to decide.
Which should have been the case already for a long time...pure Logic....
