Where the Crawdads Sing

, playing the central character of Kaya. Set in America’s deep south, the book follows the story of Kaya, who after she is abandoned by her mother and siblings, is forced to live alone on a swamp with her alcoholic father. Banished from the local town, Kaya has to learn the most basic of skills herself whilst living off the land around her.
