Iran seizes two British oil tankers with dozens of crew on board in the Gulf just 43 minutes apart in major escalation days after clash with Royal Navy

It said the ship was in "full compliance with all navigation and international regulations" when it was intercepted. He has called for the immediate release of the oil tanker Grace 1, which was detained on suspicion it was breaking European sanctions by taking oil to Syria.
