SNP’s Ian Blackford was savaged by Sky News host Adam Boulton in an interview for proposing a bill without a majority backing as Labour MP Justin Madders added he won’t vote for it in Parliament.

Mr Blackford argued that Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s plans to hold a general election on December 12 will be turned down by MPs on Monday. It comes as SNP and the Liberal Democrats are proposing a bill to have an election on December 9, three days before. But host Mr Boulton asked how the minority parties plan on getting any support.Speaking to Sky News, Mr Blackford said: “What we should now be doing is have an election, let’s put this in front of the people.
